THE COSTS
The total cost to design, erect, unveil and maintain the memorial is €12000.00. This sum also includes a small sum to erect a headstone for the grave of M. Chalandre which has lain unmarked in Guise cemetery for about 90 years. The committee feel this brave man deserves a much overdue recognition for his deeds.
THE FUND
The Iron Memorial Fund was initiated in November 2009 with initial contributions from committee members and associates. Since then, through donations and sponsored events, the total at the 25 June, 2011 is over €10,500.00, so we are almost there! We just need a final push to get us over the line.
